Vaidya Hemant Gupta's extensive expertise in Ayurveda medicine and holistic health continues to attract people of all cultural and lifestyle backgrounds.
His professional desire is not only to provide clinical consultation and the full range of Ayurveda treatment for individuals who need physiological and psychological balancing, but also to make available the knowledge of the natural health system of Ayurveda. He clearly recognizes the need for tailored patient treatment and education, so that the body-mind balance can be restored, maintained, and further difficulties prevented.
Vaidya Gupta's dedication to Ayurveda was first inspired while growing up in a family where Ayurveda runs as a family tradition over several generations. Since he received his degrees in Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Natural Medicine, Vaidya Gupta has been offering consultations as well as conducting research, publishing articles and lecturing internationally on his findings.

     Some of his research includes:
· The significance of the integrated approach of Ayurveda & Yoga for health
· A clinical study on aging within the context of Rasayana (herbal supplement having nutritive and healing effects)
· The effect of reading Sanskrit on brainwave coherence
· Psycho-physiological correlates of the Dosha theory of mind and body
· The effects of Panchakarma & herbs on Amlapitt (hyper-acidity)

A natural extension of Vaidya Gupta's professional dedication to Ayurveda has lead to his numerous appointments at the university level.
Over the past 25 years, Vaidya Gupta has been invited as a visiting professor at institutions in North America, Europe, Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia to develop curriculum and conduct courses for physicians, health professionals, and the general public.
As associate professor and deputy director at the College of Maharishi Vedic Medicine at M.U.M. in Fairfield, Iowa, he designed comprehensive undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. degree programs.
While in Iowa, Vaidya Gupta was on the advisory board of the Center for Natural Medicine and Prevention which is funded by the National Institute of Health to do research on complementary medicine.
Two premiere Ayurveda and Panchakarma centers recruited Vaidya Gupta for the Directorship of Ayurveda programs at The Raj in Fairfield, Iowa and later at The Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center in Lancaster, Massachusetts.
In Canada, Vaidya Gupta hold the position as director and consulting physician of the Ayurveda Medical Group in Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland. He also developed and taught courses for the Memorial University of NL and the Ayurveda Academy of Canada in Toronto. Because of the increasing interest in Ayurveda, Vaidya Gupta regularly commuted from Newfoundland to Ontario where he has been offering private consultations and courses since 2006.

Vaidya Gupta has recently founded in Ottawa the Shree Ma Ayurveda Institute & Wellness Center Inc., open in January, 2008.
